Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Antes que ver el sol
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Antes que ver el sol
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
Prefiero tu voz, prefiero tu voz
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
Antes que ver el sol
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
Prefiero tu voz, prefiero tu voz
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
Antes que ver el sol
Prefiero escuchar tu voz
The lyrics to "Antes Que Ver El Sol" are a poignant portrayal of unrequited love and yearning. The singer begins by expressing their fear of their loved one leaving and the desperation they feel at the thought of not being able to care for them anymore. They then move on to talking about their deep longing for this person, asking when they will finally let them in and when they will have a chance to be together without any barriers. The chorus repeats twice, with the singer saying that they would rather hear this person's voice instead of seeing the sun, illustrating just how much they value and prioritize their connection with them.
The second verse continues the theme of the singer wanting something more with their loved one, questioning why they even came back to them if they were just going to leave again. They express their love and desire to be closer to this person, asking again when they will finally let their guard down for them. The chorus repeats once more, and the song ends with the singer's declaration of how much they value the sound of their loved one's voice and how they prefer it to anything else in the world.
Overall, "Antes Que Ver El Sol" is a heartfelt ballad that captures the aching, overwhelming feeling of wanting someone that may not want you back. Through its poetic and melancholic lyrics, it conveys the complexities of unrequited love and longing.
