Panie nieba i mgły
Panie nasz, Panie ich
Ludzi dobrych, ludzi złych
Och, jaki trudny to czas
Że Ty i on, każde z nas
Wierzyć chce, kochać chce
Jak tu przepędzić myśli złe
Ufać, że jesteś, wierzyć że
Kiedyś usłyszysz prośby te.
O, Panie jawy i snów
Panie piskląt i lwów
Ufać daj, kochać chciej
Łatwiej z tym nas jest i lżej.
The song "Panie Nasz Panie Ich" by Maryla Rodowicz is a prayer-like ballad that speaks to the difficult times we face in life and the need for faith and love. The lyrics begin with an address to God, whom the singer refers to as "Panie wojen i rdzy," or the Lord of war and rust, and "Panie nieba i mgły," the Lord of heaven and fog. The use of these contrasting images suggests a recognition of the dualities in life and the uncertainty that we face.
The chorus, "Panie nasz, Panie ich, ludzi dobrych, ludzi złych," further emphasizes the idea that God is the Lord of both good and evil, and that he watches over all people. The singer acknowledges the difficulty of the times we live in, where it can be hard to know who to trust or where to turn for help. However, she implores the listener to hold onto their faith and trust that God will hear their prayers.
The second verse speaks to the importance of keeping positive thoughts and trusting in God to guide us through difficult times. The singer asks for God's protection and guidance, using imagery such as "Panie jawy i snów," or the Lord of reality and dreams, and "Panie piskląt i lwów," the Lord of chicks and lions. These images suggest a belief in God's power and omnipresence, and a recognition that he is with us in every aspect of our lives.
Overall, "Panie Nasz Panie Ich" is a heartfelt expression of faith and trust in God during difficult times. Through its use of powerful imagery and emotive language, it speaks to the universal human experience of struggle and the need for inner strength and conviction.
