Mysa
Mysa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics to Mysa's "Mysa" express frustration and anger towards the current state of society in France. The lyrics touch on themes such as political corruption, societal oppression, and police brutality. The opening lines refer to the singer's life starting in a democracy that has become totalitarian, with allusions to the association between Sarkozy and Hitler. The mention of "tours sans ascenseur social" ("towers without social mobility") refers to the lack of social mobility in France, where the singer suggests that even if one does not follow the "voie des censeurs morals illuminati, nouvel ordre mondial, franc-maçon, sioniste" ("path of the moral censors, illuminati, new world order, freemasonry, Zionism"), they will be labeled a terrorist.
The lyrics express a sense of hopelessness and frustration with the current state of the world, specifically in France. The injustice and oppression highlighted in the lyrics negate any hope for change in this society, with the singer expressing that even if society were to go up in flames, it would be unlikely that the oppressed would gain any advantage. The chorus emphasizes this sentiment, with the repetition of the phrase "on aurais voulu faire notre place dans un cercle en flamme" ("we would have wanted to make our place in a circle of flames").
The song reflects a sense of political disillusionment and frustration, highlighting societal issues not just in France, but globally.

Your freedom is not mine to give. It belongs to you and you alone.
If you want it back, you must take it for yourselves. Each and every one of you."

Dany should have stayed in Essos and rebuilt House Targaryen.
@mikehoot3978
Westeros is just a bunch of treacherous snakes.
Also the Night King will be ruling now if Dany had remained in Essos.
@gilgamesh8334
Mike Hoot Westeros is fat not noble and advanced than essos. Slavery is forbidden throughout the seven kingdoms, that fact alone is overshadowing Westeros flaws

@@gilgamesh8334 Westeros has one political entity which is the Seven Kingdoms but Essos has no such entity so not every part of Essos has the same laws. Some places in Essos practice slavery like Volantis and Slaver's Bay but in Braavos and Pentos for example slavery is illegal. Also the most advanced civilization in the world was born in Valyria which is in Essos although it was destroyed, their legacy still remains in Essos for example some cities in Essos is more advanced in architecture and smithing than Westeros.

Ramin Djawadi clearly understood dany's character more than the writers did 😅
@joaovictor_of
Ramin must have been just as mad as the rest of us. I mean, just listening to the soundtrack, it is obvious that she is his favorite character as well.
@haydenrodriguez4670
I think he said once that his favorite character to write music for was Daenerys 😢
@canadianbacon3846
People change, she showed dark tendencies when given power, in a way it was inevitable, although I agree the final product felt rushed and would have benefited from another season to develop that change further
