Pido Permiso
Nach Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The first verse of Nach Scratch's song "Pido Permiso" speaks about the artist's ownership of his art, stating that his hip hop speaks for him. He explains that he was born to be a warrior, with his mother rocking him in her arms. His rage and rebellion have molded him into the artist he is today. Nach Scratch explains that he exists within the hip hop culture because of its macho and powerful characteristics, though it carries the scent of life, it also carries the flavor of death. He goes on to explain that he is like a fruitless tree, a stray dog without an owner, and someone who carries so much hate that speaking it out loud would cause the world to bleed.

In the second half of the verse, Nach Scratch speaks about the hardship of living in a world full of concrete mazes, shadows, lights, and empty souls. He specifically mentions feeling trapped in the brevity of time, which implies that he believes life to be short and fleeting. This verse speaks to Nach Scratch's experiences in life and his journey as an artist. The words convey a sense of pain, struggle, and anger but also convey a sense of hope and the need to keep pushing through.
