Panteón Rococó blend several styles of popular music such as rock, punk, salsa, cumbia, mariachi, reggae, ska, and also mestizo music into a very energetic, groovy sound. As they are very political people and sympathize with the EZLN in Chiapas, some of their lyrics contain political statements, but many others are love songs.
While very popular in Mexico, they are not so known in Europe, hence their contributions and tours there.

No te detenga no
Si ya comenzaste
No te detengas no
Si ya empezaste
Una guitarra que se escucha a lo lejos
Que el zócalo se va a llenar
Y es la nostalgia de días de Gloria
Lo que nos va a hacer cambiar de corazón
No te detengas no
Si ya comenzaste
No te detengas no
Si ya empezaste
Oye que suena
Oye revienta
Oye que suena
Oye revienta
Dice así mi hermano
Dice así
Y que pasa la bala
Tan cerca de tu cara
Y el que mere correr
Pero te cierran la puerta
Y yo sigo cantando
Ese grito de lucha
Y yo sigo cantando
Y yo sigo cantando
Es grito de lucha
Y que sigo cantando
Ese grito de guerra
Pa la América la América la América Latina
Pa la América la América la América
América la América la América Latina
Pa la América la América latina
Suena que suena que suena mi canto
Que suena que suena que suena
Suena que suena que suena mi canto
Que suena que suena que suena
Que no me pueden parar
Que no me pueden matar
Que no me pueden parar
Que no me pueden hacer no
No te detengas no
Si ya comenzaste
No te detengas pero no
Si ya empezaste
Zócalo lleno y mi gente reunida
Hoy se va a celebrar
Ya estamos cansados de tanta injusticia
Hoy no vamos a levantar
No te detengas no
Si ya comenzaste
No te detengas no
Si ya empezaste
The song "No Te Detengas" by Panteón Rococó opens with a plea to a brother who is waiting somewhere and neglecting the needs of their people. The repetition of the question "Pero mi hermano que haces tu allá esperando" emphasizes the urgency of the situation and the need for action. The song then transitions to a call to dance and celebrate, with the upbeat rhythm of reggae style music. The lyrics then reference cities and countries throughout Latin America where the band has played and gained a following. In the chorus, the message is clear: do not stop if you have already started something. The bridge of the song speaks to the struggles faced by the people of Latin America, with a reference to a bullet flying close by and someone being trapped with nowhere to run. However, the lyrics continue to emphasize the importance of continuing to sing the "grito de lucha" (cry for struggle) and the "grito de guerra" (cry for war). The final verse calls on the people of Latin America to rise up against injustice and not to stop moving forward.
Overall, "No Te Detengas" is a call to action and a celebration of Latin American culture and music. It acknowledges the struggles and challenges faced by the people of Latin America, but emphasizes the importance of continuing to fight and not giving up. The lively beat and passionate lyrics make this song a powerful anthem for anyone who feels like their voice and actions are not being heard.
