The name is an abbreviation that is spelled as "super-intelligentes Drogenopfer" = "super intelligent drug victim". However this is the new interpretation while originally the name did spell as "Scheisse in Dein Ohr" = "shit (goes) into your ears".
In 2004, Sido's debut album, "Maske" ("Mask"), sold more than 100,000 copies in less than a month. In September of that year, the rapper won a prestigious German music award for "Best Newcomer". The best known song from that album, "Mein Block", describes life in the Maerkisches Viertel, a ghetto-like district of Berlin.
Sido has been spurting a lot of controversies. Most of his personal information is kept under blankets, not even the personal name or birthday is being confirmed by official records. Rumours say that the stage person is fully fictitious including its alleged background in a criminal ghetto. While some of his provocative aggressive songs have been banned many fans like to interpret the lyrics as a satirical on widespread prejudices about the life in so-called "problem districts".
Jedes Geheimnis

Glaub' mir, alles, was ich weiß
The lyrics of Sido's song "Jedes Geheimnis" explore the theme of curiosity and the never-ending questions that children often ask. The song begins with a series of questions that reflect the curious nature of children. It questions why someone reads the newspaper silently when they cannot hear, why pretending to shoot someone bothers someone else, and whether cows sleep standing up. The lyrics also ask philosophical questions about the moon falling down, when the dead will come back to life, and what happens when one turns the sky and is above the rain.
Throughout the song, the singer acknowledges the multitude of questions being asked and confesses that sometimes they have answers, while other times they can only guess. The chorus emphasizes the role of the singer as a source of answers and comfort for the person asking the questions. The singer promises to stay by their side until they fall asleep, revealing every secret they know.
The second verse continues with more questions, such as how age enters a person's body and why certain switches are small, despite their impact. The lyrics mention the elusive concept of "soon" and question the mystery behind smoke coming out when going outside on the terrace. The lyrics also touch on weightier topics like war and peace, falling in love, and learning how to fly.
