In the beginning, Sunderland was the hit trio of their hometown of Hood River, OR, consisting of Mcknley Kitts on guitar/vocals, Dylan Bauld on bass/backing vocals, and Vaughan Heppe on drums. Playing at their local River City Saloon in front of an ever-increasing crowd every month. About two years later, the trio decided to expand their sound and add lead guitarist Zachary Grace to the team. Soon after becoming a quartet they began work on their first album, A Change of Pace (produced by Dylan Bauld and Sean Norton). The EP received a lot of attention from venues in Portland, and eventually lead them to open for national touring acts such as Play Radio Play, The Dangerous Summer, The Morning Of, Allstar Weekend, and Hedley.
Sunderland is currently in the process of writing and re-writing songs for their sophomore EP (Which has yet to be named). They will be heading down to Los Angeles in late October of this year to begin recording and producing the album with co-owner of Drive-Thru Records, Richard Reines.

Reason
Sunderland Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I know you're bad, it's all to heavy to hold
I getting tired, baby you're growing cold
It's not gonna work, there's just no way-ay
I can't clean up your messes
After you've made a mess of me
You're just to young and reckless
And I'm somewhere in between
You gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing at all
When did your stars stop shining?
Can you tell me wen you lost your glow
So pick it up, or pack it out
I've had enough, of you and downs
You've gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing
Yeah, looking inside, can make you feel low
It'll eat you alive if you can't take control
Give me some time, you can see what I mean
I can't help you if you won't help me
I can't clean up your messes
After you've made a mess of me
You're just to young and reckless
And I'm somewhere in between
You gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing at all
When did your stars stop shining?
Can you tell me wen you lost your glow
So pick it up, or pack it out
I've had enough, of you and downs
You've gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing
You've got me good
Oh, oh, oh
You gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing at all
You must reset your focus
And now every move just feels so wrong
You gotta give me a reason, darling
You've got me hanging onto nothing at all
When did your stars stop shining?
Can you tell me wen you lost your glow
So pick it up, or pack it out
I've had enough
Why don't you pick it up, or pack it out
I've had enough
