Amor

Ya tu lo sabes, tu eres mio
eso lo supe desde el principio.

Tu me das la miel
Amor mio.
A-a-a (5) Amor mio

Desde el principio
Tu me das la miel

Amor x (10)
Miel x (10)
Amor mio

Recuerdo los días como si fuera ayer
nuestra primera cita hasta el amanecer
tu y yo solo amor. Esa carta rosada que
me hizo estremecer. Ven a mi, solo a mi
y regalame tu miel.

Amor mio.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to V. Ricciardi's song "Amor mio" are a declaration of love to a significant other. The singer starts off by stating that their lover belongs to them and that they knew this from the beginning. They then go on to express their gratitude for the sweetness that their partner brings into their life, symbolized by honey. The repetition of "Amor mio" throughout the song emphasizes the depth and intensity of the singer's love.

The second verse is a nostalgic recollection of their first date and the romantic moments that followed. The reference to a "rosada carta" suggests that their love story may be an old-fashioned one, possibly involving written correspondence. Nonetheless, the fundamental message remains the same: the singer wants their lover to come to them and share their sweetness.

Overall, "Amor mio" is a simple yet heartfelt declaration of love that emphasizes the importance of cherishing the sweetness in life.

Un siècle qu'il a quitté cette terre et pourtant toujours vivant ,éternel Caruso

@lewashcliffe

While so many critics favor the early recordings of young Caruso, I personally prefer the more mature voice as recorded after 1911 or 1912. So full, rich and powerful, yet able to give such nuances of phrasing and passion. Here is the great, natural voice with minimal interference by voice teachers. So few singers today, and even fewer voice teachers have even the slightest understanding of the greatness of Caruso. Thank you so much for sharing your treasury with us.

@chastenor

It is beyond belief that anybody could dislike this. One of the greatest recordings ever made by anybody

@Sunnybunny2006

Caruso is the standard by which all other tenors are measured -he is perfection.

@brendapeters1

Caruso and Gigli and JB are the best singers ever !!! Caruso is absolutely the best of them,a remarkable voice in the whole range of notes. I live in Holland and listen only to Italian music.Thank you Tom for this. brendapeters1

After earing his voice for nearly 60 years I still it is a miracle not a human sound,
This recording is nearly 100 years old.. Who has this tone, amplitude, roundness
and heart?

@MrGer2295

Enrico Caruso(1873-1921) was an Italian operatic tenor with beautiful and tender voice. wow! Wonderful singing!!! Thank you tomfroekjaer for posting this video.

Una tenera melodia che Caruso canta con insolita dolcezza pur non tralasciando i toni maestosi che sempre lo caratterizzano.Siamo nel lontano 1914.......
