He was one of the most influential composers in the 19th century. His works are frequently performed in opera houses throughout the world and, transcending the boundaries of the genre, some of his themes have long since taken root in popular culture - such as "La donna è mobile" from Rigoletto, "Va, pensiero" (The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves) from Nabucco, and "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" (The Drinking Song) from La traviata. Although his work was sometimes criticized for using a generally diatonic rather than a chromatic musical idiom and having a tendency toward melodrama, Verdi’s masterworks dominate the standard repertoire a century and a half after their composition.

Rest in peace, you beautiful, magnificent singers. Thank you for your glorious voices.
E. Silva
Who can sing like them these days? Glorious voices and perfect singing in every way. How do I miss you both, maestri.

@Monnarch Monnarchy Sorry for any confusion, but no, I definitely was referring to you. Also, it's spelt "hypocrite".
Kisses 😘

Magnificent... 3:51 ... 5:05 ... 7:09 ... 7:58 ... Cappuccilli, the greatest Verdian Baritone of later half of the pervious century... Pavarrotti forced to perform at the very edge of his vocal capabilities... 'Squillo voice' on the very edge - towards a vocal crack... such a wonderful moment of musical history...

Maybe later... i'll keep it low boyZ... 7:58... tenors get emotional...

- They both were wonderful. How deprived we are now with the passing of these powerful and talented singers.

Amazing, isn't enough to describe this two monster. It's just incredible the belcanto technique of those two incredible singers. R.I.P.

That was AMAZING. Two of the greatest voices ever. Thank you for posting this treasure.

And both of them acted their parts so well even on the concert stage. Bravi.

Yeah, Pavarotti's whole demeanour changes with the shifts of mood in the music! Wow, he's a real actor! And his tonal changes too!!
