The lyrics of misono's song "Kodomo no Jijou > Otona no Shijou 2" reflect the struggles and contradictions faced by adults who try to hide their true feelings and protect themselves. The singer expresses frustration with the way adults often pretend to understand or try to do their best while hiding their true emotions behind a facade. The lyrics suggest that adults often have a hard time seeing the truth and taking action due to their fear of the unknown or their desire to appear strong.
The song contrasts adults with children, implying that children have the advantage of being empty-headed and therefore able to act without hesitation. The term "わがまま" or "selfish" is also mentioned, suggesting that adults often label children as such, but perhaps there is value in being true to oneself and expressing emotions honestly.
Overall, the lyrics reflect the complexities and contradictions of adulthood, where people may feel the need to hide their vulnerabilities, conform to societal expectations, or find excuses for their actions. It also suggests that embracing one's true self and taking actions without fear can lead to a more authentic and fulfilling life.
