The lyrics to Liu Ruoying's "Yi Beizi De Gu Dan" ("Lifetime of Solitude") express the singer's resigned acceptance of a lifelong state of loneliness. The repetition of the phrase "wo xiang wo hui yizhi gudan" ("I think I will always be alone") and the declaration that "zheme gudan yibeizi" ("like this alone for a lifetime") give the sense that the singer sees no possibility for change in this regard.
