The Ho Hey Songfacts reports that Schultz and Fraites were originally based in New York and started collaborating in 2002 after Fraites’ brother, Josh, who was also Schultz’s best friend died of an overdose. The pair began writing and performing to cope with their grief and they later relocated to Denver, where they met the classically trained Pekarek after advertising for a cellist.
A Denver, Colorado based group. The roots revival of the last few years has primed listeners for a new generation of rustic, heart-on-the-sleeve music—the kind that nods to tradition while setting off into uncharted territory. The Lumineers walk that line with an unerring gift for timeless melodies and soul-stirring lyrics.

Flowers in Your Hair
The Lumineers Lyrics
When we were younger
We thought everyone was on our side
Then we grew a little
And romanticized the time I saw
Flowers in your hair
See it takes a boy to live
Takes a man to pretend he was there
So then we grew a little
And knew a lot
And now we demonstrated it to the cops
And all the things we said
We were self assured
'Cause it's a long road to wisdom
But it's a short one to being ignored
Be in my eyes
Be in my heart
By in my eyes, eyeyeye
Be in my heart
So now I think that I could love you back
And I hope its not too late
'Cause you're so attractive
And the way you move
I won't close my eyes
'Cause it takes a man to live
It takes a woman to make him compromise
So be in my eyes
Be in my heart
Be in my eyes, eyeyeye
Be in my heart

@Mistrr Zerry Good on you, I'm glad it turns out we're both trying to support the music industry in our respective ways. You have a great day too :D

Well, you have a point. I'm a premium user at Spotify and I always go to concerts if the bands I like are nearby. I just really hate the manipulating ads, as long as I can block them I will. I really like the concept of Spotify though, even if they decide to raise the monthly price of it, I will keep using it. I really hope that's the future of the music industry. Have a great day :)

@Mistrr Zerry OK so fair enough I was complaining about the ad BUT musicians are struggling enough as it is, I'm not gonna make it harder for them by denying them their money due. If you're enjoying their music at least endure the ads if not actually buying it, or else production companies might not pick them up for another album so in the end it's your loss because you're not getting to hear more of their music. Please don't use ad block.
