Lucky Man
Emerson Lake & Palmer Lyrics

He had white horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door

Ooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooh, what a lucky man he was

White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was laid

Ooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooh, what a lucky man he was

He went to fight wars
For his country and his king
Of his honor and his glory
The people would sing

Ooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooh, what a lucky man he was

A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
No money could save him
So he laid down and he died

Ooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooh, what a lucky man he was

Such a great song. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s meant timeless music memories.

@Dingo Dog And the music really went off the rails in the late '90s.

I agree. There was a lot of excellent music back then.
I lived near Toronto, Ontario and the radio station CHUM FM had just switched from classical music to album rock. Back then we'd turn down the lights and enjoy the music. The Moody Blues were another great group from back then.

Yes, for me > in California!!!
