Pomyliłem się
Pomyliłem się
To miasto nigdy nie będzie należeć do mnie
Pomyliłem się
To miasto nigdy nie będzie należeć do mnie
Pomyliłem sięto miasto należy raczej do Grzegorza Turnaua Zbigniewa Preisnera i księdza Tischnera
Pomyliłem się
Pomyliłem się
To miasto należy raczej do gołębi do wycieczek
The lyrics of the song "Opluty" by Świetliki reveal a sense of mistaken ownership and detachment from one's surroundings. The repetition of "Pomyliłem się" (I was mistaken) emphasises the singer's regret for feeling a certain territorial entitlement over the city they reside in. The line "To miasto nigdy nie będzie należeć do mnie" (This city will never belong to me) highlights a sense of displacement and longing for belonging. The singer then acknowledges that the city belongs to notable individuals such as Grzegorz Turnau, Zbigniew Preisner, and Father Tischner, emphasising that the city is not solely their own.
The singer seems to be grappling with their identity and sense of control in the face of an overwhelming urban environment. The lines "Ja już nie chodzę ja jeżdżę" (I no longer walk, I ride) and "Jeżdżę taksówką" (I take a taxi) convey a feeling of disconnection from the cityscape, as if the landscape has become a blur from the comfort of a vehicle. The repetition of "Boręk Fałęcki Rynek" (Boręk Fałęcki Market Square) suggests that the singer is fixated on a particular location, perhaps one that holds sentimental value to them.
Overall, "Opluty" explores themes of alienation, displacement, and the inability to claim ownership over urban spaces. It invites listeners to question their relationship with the cities they inhabit and the ways in which we define and measure place-based identity.
