当時小学校６年生、でも唄を唄うことに全く自信無かった時。
卒業手前の時、担任からクラス皆の唄をカセットに吹き込もうと言われ、唄に自信の無かった自分は、最初、一足先に完成していた卒業文集からの自分の作文を読もうとしたが、担任にそれは駄目だ、唄えと言われ、結局この曲をアカペラで唄った。
二十歳の同窓会で再び集まった時、担任は何とその時のカセットを残しており、この日に流されたのだが、皆に大爆笑され悔しかった記憶が今も甦る。
しかし、更にそっから30年位近く経った。
現在ならもっと上手く唄えるかな…
