80年代で歌唱、音楽センス、美貌を持ち合わせた最強アイドルだと思います。

河合奈保子さんは、同期の聖子さんと並ぶ機会が多く、結果として奈保子さんが大柄に見えてしまう雰囲気がありましたが、実際に奈保子さんに遭遇した方達によると、驚くほど華奢で小柄だったらしいです。つまり聖子さんが病的に細かったということです。歌番組などでは、聖子さんと奈保子さんが横並びになると、聖子さんが可憐に映りましたが、水泳大会での絵は奈保子さんに軍配が上がりました。水泳大会での聖子さんや後輩の松本伊代さんの痩せすぎぶり、ともすれば摂食障害があるのではとも思えるほどの細さに驚いたものです。奈保子さんの健康美は眩しかったです。 ✨ 余談ですが、１９８３年の紅白では、「UNバランス」よりも、最大のヒット曲「エスカレーション」を歌って欲しかったです。
