Asia Nitollano (born February 14, 1988 in Mt. Vernon, New York) is an American singer, dancer and model, who won the television series Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. She was also a dancer for the New York Knicks of the NBA.

Nitollano is the daughter of R&B musician Joe Bataan and has a four-year-old daughter. She has African-American, Filipino, and Puerto Rican ancestry. Before her entry into the group, Nitollano was a dancer for the New York Knicks. In 2007 she became one of the nine finalists on the CW reality television series, Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. During the season finale of the show, she was chosen to become the newest member of the group by judges Robin Antin, Ron Fair and Lil Kim. According to judge and Pussycat Doll founder Robin Antin, while Nitollano wasn't the strongest vocalist of the final three, she had greater stage presence and is an all-round better performer due to her experience in dancing.

In July 2007, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Nitollano, who was never contractually obligated to join the Pussycat Dolls, had decided to embark on a solo career. According to Dawn Ostroff, head of the CW Network, Nitollano was not fired from the group, but opted to go solo after the final episode of the show was aired or in short, after the season was completely filmed in the summer of 2006. Nitollano's position in the group had been questioned for months, since she had never performed with the group (except on the finale of the show) and has been absent from the group's high-profile performances, most notably Live Earth, held in July 2007.

She has appeared in adverts for P. Diddy's clothing line Sean John Women's collection.

As of July 2008 her MySpace page states she is working on a solo album. She is currently signed to Murder Inc.

These three could have made a group themselves. They blend amazingly. They all want the spot but none of them are trying to outshine the other or trying to over sing each other. But they give their all on their parts. Idk how to explain it. They could really fit as a group with this dynamic. Each shines bright but none outshines the others. Which is very rare. Of course we all have our favorites mine being Melissa from the first episodes but from an objective point all are amazing!

Remember watching this show ! Asia (first girl) actually did the best in this performance even though she isn't vocally as strong as Chelsea (girl wit bangs) who actually had best vocals in the competition but for some reason didn't come through much here. I think if anybody took on Christina Aguilera's part it would be her anyway. Melissa R was usually really good but wasn't as strong as she can be here. Overall good group performance and hella entertaining :D

i loved them all in this video! asia was great! she has such a powerful voice. i love melissa but she kept running out of breath on long notes but i loved her dancing. chelsea.... i loved her voice but her dancing dissapointed meh. but i still like it. the reason why they picked asia is because she gave it her all and she did great!

@Amanda Whitaker None of these girls sound great. They have potential maybe, but they need a lot of voice training. The girl that won sounds like she's constantly screaming instead of properly singing from her diaphragm. Cringe all the way through. Came here because it was a part of my morning conversation; wanted to see if it was as terrible as I remembered. The fact that this show was just a gimmick to promote the existing group is evident in judges commentary.

I think Chelsea should've won. She went through so much, and she really learned to dance well. She worked really hard just to be in the final 9 even though she was sick.

Chelsea is one hell of a dancer now. Keep in mind that both Melissa R and Asia had lots of dance training prior to this. Chelsea had none, and now she is just as good as them. Chelsea is continuing to take dance, so now she could probably match them a lot better from when she did the Search.

When Asia started walking down them stairs she won. Let’s be honest they weren’t looking for the best singer, they wanted someone who had that PCD look, could dance, and had stage presence. Asia was the obvious choice.

anyone notice after chris, mya, pink, and lil' kim covered lady marmalade all the renditions since then have been tryin to cover them and do it just like them. they were girl power to the fullest, u had the rock, pop, r&b, and hip-hop girls fused together and when patti labelle came out w/ them at the 44th grammys that was icing on the cake.

Melissa R is the best performer, she's always smiling, great eye contact with the audience, I don't think she looks like a deer in headlights...Asia always seems diva-ish when it's her turn to stand up front. Which may be a good or bad thing.

A lotta people aren't happy that Asia won, but here's a point that I want to bring up: She has a strong mix of vocals and dancing, which Melissa R. shares. Chelsea has the strongest voice of all and arguably, she's a good dancer, though not a GREAT one. What set Asia apart from the others, I think, is her onstage presence and charisma. She won the media/publicity challenge for a reason. Personally, I thought Melissa R. should've won, but I understand why Asia did.

Hmm i wish that they would make a group (the three of them) but i do know that melissa R, Melissa S and Chelsea created a group called Girlesque or something. I think they all did AMAZING in this performance!

Melissa R was the best looking but Asia was a close 2nd. Gorgeous girls, they should have started their own band. I would have gone to see them for sure.

chelsea actually did very well in this one with the dancing, and i do agree with the fact that Melissa R. is too good for PCD anyways, she'll be more successfull on her own!!

Chelsea should have been picked. Her voice overcame ALL of the contestants. I believe she even has a much better voice then nicole.S herself. Chelsea's dancing has made a HUGE improvment. All she needed was a little practice!! <3
