BarlowGirl's Philosophy
The band has gained a following with their "Anti-Conformity" message of "Don't be conformed, be Transformed" from Romans 12:1-2. Besides believing in abstinence and modesty, the band has also taken a stand on not dating, but their main message remains that people should look to God for love and security, and he will bring everything else into our lives. Very simply, trust God. They encourage people to trust the unseen. Just because you can't see God doesn't mean He isn't there!
Self Titled Debut Album
BarlowGirl instantly hit the spotlight in 2004 with their acclaimed self-titled debut album, coupled with the success of its first single, Never Alone. The longest running No. 1 song in 2004 on R&R’s CHR and CRW Rock charts, Never Alone was named "Song of the Year" on each of these charts. The CD has sold over 250,000 units (as of April 2005) and featured the singles Never Alone and Mirror which both garnered much airplay on Christian radio stations. These number one songs earned the trio four 2005 GMA (Gospel Music Association) awards (formerly the Dove Award) award nominations, including the prestigious Best New Artist award, Best Rock Song and Rock Album. The trio was the best selling new Christian artist of 2004. BarlowGirl received a 2006 GMA award nomination for Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year for Mirror.
Another Journal Entry
Their second album, Another Journal Entry, was released on September 27, 2005. The first single from the album, Let Go, had already begun receiving airplay on Christian radio stations. Their next single from this album, I Need You to Love Me, has also received recent some airplay on some Christian radio stations after the album's debut. The album debuted at #3 on Soundscan's Christian album chart, and, as of Oct. 10, is at 85 on Billboards Top 200 Current Albums chart. The trio was nominated for three additional 2006 GMA (Gospel Music Association) awards: Group of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year, and and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for Let Go.

Then anyone ever
Everyday you are the same
You never change no never
You are more beautiful
Then anyone ever
Everyday you are the same
And how can I ever deny
The love of my savior
You are to me everything
All I need forever
How could you be so good?
There is no on like you
There has never ever been anyone like you
Everywhere you were there
Earth or air surrounding
I'm not alone the heavens sing along
My god you're so astounding
How could you be so good to me
Eternally I believe that
There is no on like you
There has never ever been anyone like you
How could you be so good to me
Were not alone so sing along
Sing along. Sing along
The song "One Like You" by BarlowGirl is a declaration of love and worship to Jesus Christ. The lyrics praise Jesus for his unchanging beauty and love, and express gratitude for his goodness to the singer. The first verse starts by depicting Jesus as the most beautiful and unchanging being, better than anyone else the singer has ever seen. The repetition of the same verse in the song reinforces the importance of Jesus' constant and unwavering love.
The song then moves on to a more personal level, with the singer acknowledging her love for Jesus and his role as her savior. The line "How can I ever deny the love of my savior" emphasizes the depth of the singer's love and devotion to Jesus. The chorus repeats the idea that there is no one like Jesus, emphasizing his uniqueness and singularity.
The second verse zooms out to emphasize Jesus' universal presence and power, as the heavens join in singing along. The chorus is repeated again, reinforcing the idea that Jesus' love and goodness is unmatched.
Overall, "One Like You" is a beautiful tribute to Jesus Christ, celebrating him as the most beautiful, loving, and powerful being in existence.

Why, why are you still with me?
Didn't you see what I've done?
In my shame I want to run and hide myself
But it's here I see the truth
I don't deserve you
But I need you to love me, and I
I won't keep my heart from you this time
So I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need you to love me
I, I have wasted so much time
Pushing you away from me
I just never saw how much you could cherish me
Cuz you're a God who has all things
And still you want me
But I need you to love me, and I
I won't keep my heart from you this time
So I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need you to love me
Your love makes me forget what I have been
Your love makes me see who I really am
Your love makes me forget what I have been
But I need you to love me, and I
I won't keep my heart from you this time
So I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need you to love me
