In 2005, Camille released Le fil. This is a concept album, built on one note (a B) that starts at the beginning of the album and stops at its end. All the songs of the album are constructed on the voice of Camille with only one instrument (double-bass, and sometimes a keyboard).
Camille's third studio album Music Hole, released in March 2008, shows a key turn in her career: it is mostly sung in English.

Quand je marche
Camille Lyrics

Quand je dors, je dors
Quand je chante, je chante
Je m'abandonne
Quand je marche, je marche droit
Quand je chante, je chante nue
Et quand j'aime, je n'aime que toi
Je suis ici
Je suis dedans
Je suis debout
Je ne me moquerai plus de tout
"Entends tu, m'as-tu dit,
Le chant do monde", alors depuis
Quand l'aube se lĂšve, je la suis
Et quand la nuit tombe
Je tombe aussi
Je suis ici
Je suis dedans
Je suis debout
Je ne me moquerai plus de tout
Quand j'ai faim, tout me nourrit
Le cri des chiens, et puis la pluie
Quand tu pars, je reste ici
Je m'abandonne
Et je t'oublie.
The song "Quand je marche" by Camille expresses the theme of surrendering oneself to the present moment. The first stanza talks about the singer's pure focus when she is doing a particular activity, whether it is walking, sleeping, or singing. She completely immerses herself in the task at hand, surrendering to it. The second stanza emphasizes the direction and honesty the singer has in her actions, whether it is walking straight or singing without pretense. She also confesses that when she thinks of her beloved, she can no longer sleep.
In the third stanza, the singer declares her presence in the moment. She is fully aware of her surroundings, body, and state of mind. She no longer mocks everything around her but accepts things as they are. The fourth stanza reflects on the beauty of the world. The singer seems to hear the call to appreciate the natural beauty around her, and she surrenders to it. She follows the sunrise and sunset, and as the darkness envelops her, she surrenders herself to its embrace.
Overall, the song emphasizes living in the present moment fully and surrendering to it without hesitation. It is an invitation to stop and smell the roses, to appreciate the beauty of life.
