Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
De norte a sur al fin del mundo
Saber oír y dar mis manos
Sudar jugando algo bien sano
A)Todos aquí somos humanos
Que más me da el color, la raza
Dentro tenemos sentimientos
Que necesitan de sustento
No se pueden quedar adentro
Coro:
B)Aquí esta mi casa abierta
Hay un plato por ti en nuestra mesa
Sombra de árbol para tu cabeza
B)Casa abierta
La amistad no cuestiona tu credo
A la tierra le gusta que amemos
Sin distingos de culto y bandera
Casa abierta...
A) Quisiera darte buena suerte
Y ser tu amigo hasta la muerte
que la distancia no me entuma
Y la amistad no se consuma
A)Todos aquí somos humanos
Que más me da el color, la raza
Dentro tenemos sentimientos
Que necesitan de sustento
Si adentro hay buenos sentimientos
No se pueden quedar adentro
(Coro 2 veces)
The song "Casa Abierta" by Dúo Guardabarranco with lyrics in Spanish encourages the idea of unity and love without boundaries. The first stanza reveals the desire to be at peace with everyone, to offer a helping hand to those in need, and to play and have fun together healthily. The songwriter emphasizes that regardless of one's race or color, we all have emotions that require nurturing, and we should always make room for positive and good feelings. The chorus introduces the idea of an open house where anyone is welcome, and the writer promises a place at the table and shelter under a tree.
The second stanza mentions that friendship does not require questioning one's beliefs or ideology. The earth loves when people love, irrespective of differences in culture or nationality. The third and last stanza reiterates the need for human support during hardships and the importance of celebrating and enjoying everyone's similarities and differences.
Guardabarranco's "Casa Abierta" is a beautifully written song that speaks to a society divided by color, race, and religion. The song is about accepting everyone without any prejudice or discrimination. It encourages people to come together and share their lives and issues with each other, bringing down the barriers of society. This song is known for its strong message of brotherhood and love, and it has become a popular anthem among activists, especially in Latin America.
