"Dans ce rock cubiste, concassé, défoncé de breaks et riffs cosmiques, ils n’ont aujourd’hui de leçons à recevoir de personne : leur impatience, leur boulimie et leur frénésie sont désormais leurs seuls mentors."

Mama Sorry

Mama mama, sorry
Gonna gonna scream at something right?
'Cause you never feel alright
And papa papa, sorry
Never get used to see your face upon the floor
Mo-Mo-Monday to Sunday
Mama mama mama, sorry
'Cause it never feels right to hope no more
By the thousands of heart attacks you've scored
'Cause I rise, I rise, I rise, I rise, I rise every time we fall
Yeah, 'cause it never feels right
'Cause I'll never let go
And I'm feeling so lonely
But you still wanna go
'Cause it never feels right
'Cause I wanna implode
And I'm feeling so lonely
'Cause you never look right
And we'll never let go
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Sorry
Don't you ever fear the other side?
You're never sure to see the light
And papa papa, sorry
I'll go with you and with all my heart
Mo-Mo-Monday to Sunday
No, how many nights? How many? How many? How many?
Mama mama mama, sorry
'Cause it never feels right to break a vow
'Cause it never feels right to let you cry
'Cause I rise, I rise, I rise, I rise, I rise every time we fall
Ah! 'Cause it never feels right
'Cause I'll never let go
And I'm feeling so lonely
But you still wanna go
'Cause it never feels right
'Cause I wanna implode
And I'm feeling so lonely
'Cause you never look right
And we'll never let go
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
Mama mama mama, sorry
(Mama mama mama, sorry)
(Mama mama mama, sorry, sorry)
Lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely
It feels so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely
It feels so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely
It feels so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely
Sorry! Woo!
Sorry
(Mama mama mama, sorry)

Hyphen Hyphen's song Mama Sorry has a message of love and guilt. The song speaks about feeling guilty towards our loved ones, especially towards our mothers, the ones who gave birth to us. The song starts with 'Mama mama mama, sorry', which can be interpreted as the singer apologizing to their mother for something that they have done wrong. The constant repetition of the word 'sorry' throughout the song reinforces the message. The lyrics continue to speak about the pain and struggles that both the singer and their mother are going through. The singer addresses their father as well, saying 'And papa papa, sorry' which shows their guilt towards their father too. The lyrics show that the singer is willing to go through anything to make their mother happy, even if that means feeling lonely. However, they won't give up on their mother, no matter how hopeless things may seem, and promise to rise every time they fall.
The repeated phrase 'Mo-Mo-Monday to Sunday' can be interpreted as the everyday struggle that they go through. The singer feeling low every day and having to take pills to just get through it all. The lyrics, 'Don't you ever fear the other side? You're never sure to see the light', address the struggle of mental health and the feeling of constant darkness that comes with it, urging people to seek help when needed and not be afraid of it. The song implies that the singer has let their mother down in some way, and they are trying to make up for it by apologizing and promising to never give up on her.
Overall, the song Mama Sorry by Hyphen Hyphen sends a message of love, hope, and perseverance, especially in times of struggles and hardships.

Ce clip m’a ému aux larmes. Je remercie ma mère de m’avoir toujours dit, enfant, que j’avais le choix et le droit d’aimer qui je voulais. Aujourd’hui, c’est ce même message que je transmets à ma fille. 💙🏳️🌈
