Sick Puppy
Lemon Demon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sick puppy, you're a threat to the peace.
Gone batty, running from the county police.
Well, I hope you get well soon.
Why, baby, did you have to do that?
Set fire to Mrs. Ellerman's cat… meow!
Well I hope you get well soon.
If I were a registered psychiatrist,
We could be together for all time.
It's a shame you're on the lam,
But I don't really give a damn
That you used a stolen taser on that unsuspecting mime.
Sick puppy, have you been taking your pills?
No worries, but you better head for the hills.
Well I hope you get well soon.
I hope you get well soon.

I hope you get well soon.
Soon.

Overall Meaning

The song Sick Puppy by Lemon Demon tells the story of a person who is worried about their partner, who appears to have gone off the rails and is being chased by the police. The singer refers to their partner as a "sick puppy," implying that they are not well and need help. In the chorus, the singer hopes that their partner will "get well soon" and questions the reasons behind their behavior, including setting fire to Mrs. Ellerman's cat and using a stolen taser on an unsuspecting mime.

As the song progresses, the singer reveals that they are a psychiatrist and suggests that if their partner were a registered patient, they could be together for all time. This implies that the singer is romantically involved with their patient and wants to help them overcome their problems. Despite this, the singer also acknowledges that their partner is a threat to the peace and needs to go into hiding.

@SUSSOUSAMOGOUS

the infamous longest lemon demon song...oh boy
despite the length of the song, this reminds me of the 5 stages of grief, mostly because the other comments said so
but that description for this song is really good, and it almost perfectly captures those stages
denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance are all shown here really well
and its kind of crazy how music can describe these feelings without actually telling you
like..it FEELS like the stages of grief.
while im not a huge fan of the instrumental, i can respect it for going over these stages really well just through feel
so ill give it a 10/10 for the emotion factor
for the..actual music though
probably a 6/10 if im being honest, its really long and is way too stretched out

oh and i guess the lyrics are okay aswell

4:54: What the frick...?
5:16: Neil, I think that's high enough.
5:48: TOO HIGH.
6:07: AM I DYING? I DON'T LIKE THOSE NOISES. (This is exactly why I put colons, otherwise it would be "6:07 AM".)
6:22: Oh! Thank God that's all ove-
6:41: NOPE!
6:52: AAAAAAA DEATH DEATH DEATH PAIN AND SUFFERING
7:08: It's almost over, finally!
7:49: WHAT DO YOU MEAN NONE OF THAT WAS PART OF "SICK PUPPY"?!

@burnttoaster431

Na they spent way too much time in the depression chapter to get world record or even a good run

@MintyHeart_

@@burnttoaster431 yeah, would be better if it was a test speedrun or first speedrun.

All the lemon demon albums have a distinct vibe. for example, damn skippy feels orchestral and adventurous, Dinosaurchestra feels somber yet innocent.
