For several years they toured, both solo and together, as choir members before they decided to team up as a duo. After this decision, things took off quickly with an EP in February 2012 and winning awards at the Francouvertes.
Since then they have performed at various festivals and won other prestigious awards, like the "best new artist" at the GAMIQ's.
Their album, "Le Poids des Confettis", was released in March of 2013 and quickly gained popularity and awards, including "Revelation of the year" and "Best folk album" along with several other nominations.

Et même si tu me protégeais
J'aimais jouer avec la braise
Je faisais exprès de me perdre
Avec l'été qui me trouvait
Et tu as préféré te perdre
Ah ah ah ah
The song "Les plants de fraises" by Les soeurs Boulay tells a story of two people experiencing a summer romance. The singer and their partner spend time together in a field of strawberries, amidst tall grass and black holes. The singer describes how they would stumble through the strawberry plants while their partner would laugh and protect them. Despite the partner's attempts to keep them safe, the singer would deliberately wander off, enjoying the feeling of being lost. The lyrics describe the peacefulness of summer, with a sky as sweet as milk and a heart burning like embers.
The story takes a darker turn as the partner becomes upset and cries while looking at the stars. The singer comforts them while they throw rocks at airplanes. The singer admits to being scared of losing their partner, and they guide them home using the rocks they had thrown. The song then transitions to the partner becoming silent and walking through the dark holes. The singer tries to light fires to guide them, but they refuse and decide to get lost on their own. In the end, the partner no longer wants to see the singer, and the singer feels like a small insignificant sound compared to their partner's silence.
The lyrics of "Les plants de fraises" evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing for a lost summer love. The imagery of walking through fields, laying in the grass, throwing rocks at the sky, and lighting fires all create a dreamlike and innocent atmosphere. The song seems to convey the fragility of relationships and how easily love and closeness can slip away.

So you wouldn't fall, I lit you up
Des feux que tu voulais plus voir
Fires that you didn't want to see anymore
Et tu as préféré te perdre
And you preferred to get lost
Avec l'été qui s'en allait
With the summer that was leaving
Et pendant que je t'éclairais
And while I was lighting you up
It was me who you didn't want to see anymore
