Me Robarron
Los Crudos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Se aprovecharán de los jóvenes porque son inocentes
Son vulnerables, no son educados
No se dan cuenta de que están siendo robados
Me han despojado de lo que era
Me han hecho sentir que no valgo nada
Pero muchos serán incapaces de ver
¡Me robaron!
The Los Crudos song "Me robarron" (They Stole from Me) is a powerful commentary on the exploitation and victimization of youth by predatory individuals and social systems. The opening lines of the song explain how the innocent and uneducated young people are easy targets for those who seek to take advantage of them. The singer laments how these vulnerable youth are often unaware of how they are being robbed of their opportunities and futures.
The chorus of the song, "Me robaron," is a powerful expression of the anger and frustration felt by the singer and perhaps by many others who have experienced such exploitation. The singer feels worthless and violated, and the implication is that many others will be unable to see the true nature of their exploitation and will similarly feel powerless.
The song can be seen as a call to awareness and action, encouraging young people to become educated and take control of their own lives, and to resist the systems and people who seek to exploit them. Overall, "Me robarron" is a powerful and vivid representation of a common experience shared by many young people, as well as a passionate critique of a social system that often fails to protect them.
