The lyrics of Los Crudos's song "Victorias Y Ganancias" express a sense of exhaustion and frustration with constantly singing about loss and defeat. The singer's mouth longs to speak of victories and gains instead. They yearn to embrace their land without feeling disgust or resentment, and to trust in humanity without suspicion.
The song contemplates the power of words like justice, peace, and love, recognizing that they often remain empty and meaningless in a world filled with corruption and betrayal. There are many instances where the pure essence of such concepts is diluted by deceitful actions. The lyrics convey a desire to find a way to erase the misery and envy that suffocate society. Rather than continuing to focus on their losses, the singer seeks to shift the narrative towards victories and gains.
The lyrics also highlight the band's disdain for oppression and their willingness to share in the collective suffering. They reject selfishness and refuse to embrace the misery that plagues their land and their nation. The song criticizes the way justice, peace, and love have been twisted by betrayal, lies, and deceit. Despite these frustrations, the singer maintains a sense of hope, choosing not to lose faith in humanity.
Overall, "Victorias Y Ganancias" is a powerful anthem that calls for a reevaluation of societal values and a shift towards a more just and honest existence.
