Her voice tone is clear and slightly low, and she has an extremely proper Spanish pronunciation. She typically sings with the only company of guitars, requintos, and drums.
She singed for close to 30 years with the same group, Los Gemelos, formed by two twin brothers, Santiago López Hernández and Julián López Hernández, until the death of Santiago in the early 1990s.
Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir
Maria Dolores Pradera Lyrics

The lyrics of María Dolores Pradera's song "Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir" paint the picture of a heartbroken lover addressing their unfaithful partner. The opening line "No te asombres si te digo lo que fuiste" (Don't be surprised if I tell you what you were) sets the tone for the rest of the song, as the singer begins to detail the ways in which their significant other has wronged them. The singer identifies their partner as an "ingrato con mi pobre corazón" (ungrateful to my poor heart) for leaving them for someone else. The use of the term "pobre corazón" evokes a sense of pity for the singer, as their heart has been hurt by this betrayal.
The lyric "Porque el brillo de tus lindos ojos negros, alumbraron el camino de otro amor" (because the shine of your beautiful black eyes, illuminated the path of another love) highlights the remorse felt by the singer towards their former partner. They lament the fact that the same eyes that once brought them joy and happiness can now light up the path towards someone else. The following verse continues to emphasize the singer's heartbreak, conveying their disbelief that someone they adored and loved so much could leave them. Despite their pain, the singer declares that they cannot continue without their former lover, saying "Que no puedo conformarme sin poderte contemplar" (That I can't be content without seeing you).
The chorus of the song serves as a declaration of the singer's intent. They refuse to continue to love someone who betrayed them and caused them pain. The lines "Solo conseguirás que no te nombre nunca más" (You'll only manage to make me never mention you again) express their desire to move on from the relationship and forget about the hurt their partner caused. Ultimately, the singer's broken heart is left exposed in the closing line of the song, "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir" (That no one knows about my suffering).
