It was born in 1991 in Caen, Normandy. They play amusing and/or traditional songs inspired by Quebec songs. They started by singing real traditional songs and then invented new ones.
The band has a great experience of the scene and usually invite people to dance and participate.
Today, since François Boros is gone, there is no more any initial creator of the band, Emmanuel (Manu) Savinelli, Dominique Adrix (Jimi) and François Boros.
December 2006, they decided to stop (at least for a moment) their common activity, to continue each one alone.
Le Funambule
Mes souliers sont rouges Lyrics

Du cirque forain
Pas un n'avait dit
Au vieux funambule
Qu'il était aussi
Parfois somnambule
Ça n'aurait servi
Strictement à rien
Le public parti
Quand la lune dehors
Au travers du trou
De la vieille toile
Allumait un ciel
Tout rempli d'étoiles
Le vieux funambule
Arrivait à l'heure
Lui qui n'était pas
Tellement sûr de lui
Qui souffrait des reins
Qui avait des vertiges
Était tout changé
C'était un prodige
Oui c'était vraiment
Le jour et la nuit
Plus besoin d'ombrelle
Ni de balancier
Les sauts périlleux
Devenaient faciles
Il était grâcieux
Il était agile
Comme un demi-dieu
Sur son fils d'acier
Et ce fut ainsi
Qu'un enfant le vit
Un enfant puni
Ou un fils de pauvre
Qui s'était glissé
Dans l'odeur des fauves
Et qui l'admirait
D'un regard ravi
Spectateur fortuit
De ce numéro
L'enfant applaudit
De tant de merveilles
Mais un somnambule
Quand on le réveille
Comme un funambule
Ça tombe de haut
De tous ses copains
Du cirque forain
Pas un n'avait dit
Au vieux funambule
Qu'il était aussi
Parfois somnambule
Les gens du voyage
Sont des gens très bien
The lyrics of Mes souliers sont rouges' song Le Funambule follow the story of an old tightrope walker or funambule, who had been performing in the circus for years. None of his friends, who were also part of the circus, had ever told him that he was sometimes sleepwalking, as it would have served no purpose. When the public had left and the night had fallen, the funambule would appear to walk the tightrope, even though he had difficulty with his back and vertigo during the day. At night, he was transformed, becoming agile and graceful like a demigod on his steel wire.
The song takes a sad turn, however, as it is revealed that a child, either a punished child or a poor boy, who had slipped into the tent to watch the show, had witnessed the funambule's sleepwalking trick. The child was amazed by the performance, but when the funambule woke up and realized what he had done, he fell from his high position on the wire. The song ends with a repetition of the beginning lyrics, emphasizing that no one had ever told the old tightrope walker about his sleepwalking tendencies.
The song touches on themes of aging, the allure of the circus, the transformative power of performance, and the impact of secrets and revelation on one's life.
