1) a Canadian alternative rock band,
2) a Swedish electronic pop project,
3) an Indonesian shoegaze band, and
4) an Australian industrial duo.
1) Moist is a five-piece Canadian alternative rock band that was popular in the mid-to-late-1990s. The band is led by singer David Usher. Other members of the band are Mark Makoway (guitars), Francis Fillion (drums), Louis Lalancette (bass), Jonathan Gallivan (guitars) and Kevin Young (keyboards). Former members include Jeff Pearce (bass) and Paul Wilcox (drums).
Moist formed in the early 1990s and eventually released an independent cassette in 1993. The cassette caught the attention of EMI, who released their first full-length studio CD, Silver, in 1994. Producer Terry Brown (Rush, Blue Rodeo) was brought in to work on a few of the band's songs, and the album went on to sell 400,000 copies in Canada on the strength of hard-hitting singles like Push, Silver and Believe Me. The follow up, Creature, was released in 1996 to even greater success, with the band's sound maturing and fostering its softer side. A final studio album titled Mercedes 5 and Dime was released in 1999 which was softer and more melancholic than previous releases.
Moist have called off their indefinite hiatus as of September 2013, and released their new single "Mechanical" on May 23rd, 2014.

Sunday Comes
Moist Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Something's got to give
I never took it outside alone
I don't feel like I did
And so Sunday comes, not much better than it was
And the complication's playing as the merriment is
dying
And the girl's were going crazy saying everyone, wave your
Cause i don't even mind, I guess I knew you better than you
thought you knew yourself
Wave good bye
I don't mind
Even as the lightening fades
I guess we've got to live
I'm never going back there again
It's too hard to pretend
I can't leave just how it is
And so Sunday comes, not much better than it was
So we strike another pose for all the merry girls
And the band was going crazy singing everybody, wave your
own good bye's!
And so Sunday comes, not much better than it was
And the orchestra was playing, all the people started
swaying
And the band was going crazy going, is anybody
listening?
Is anybody listening?
Wave your own good bye's!
Cause i don't even mind, I guess I knew you better than you
thought you knew yourself
Wave good bye
I don't mind
You know I'm on your side
Was there any doubt?
You know I never let you down
Wave good bye
I don't mind
The song "Sunday Comes" by Moist is about the aftermath of a difficult situation or period in the singer's life. It starts off by describing a sense of something needing to change or give, perhaps suggesting that the singer is feeling trapped or unsatisfied. The singer seems to be reflecting back on a time when they didn't take action, saying "I never took it outside alone, I don't feel like I did." This could suggest a missed opportunity or a lack of agency in the situation.
As the song goes on, Sunday is described as not being much better than it was before. The "complication" is playing while the merriment dies down - this could mean that despite trying to have a good time or distract from the difficulties, the problems are still there and becoming harder to ignore. The line "the girl's were going crazy saying everyone, wave your own good bye's" suggests a sense of finality or closure - perhaps the people in the singer's life are moving on or saying goodbye in their own way.
Overall, the song seems to be about coming to terms with something difficult and accepting that things may not be able to go back to the way they were before. The repeated refrain of "Wave good bye, I don't mind" could suggest the singer trying to find acceptance and closure, even if they may not actually be okay with the situation. The line "Is anybody listening?" suggests a sense of loneliness or feeling unheard, which could be adding to the difficulty of the situation.
