It was the only information officially shared about the band, but they have expanded their fan base by word of mouth, mostly through the Internet, to such an extent that their latest album (Hey Mom, It's Just as You Say) went up to number 8 in the Oricon weekly album chart.

The lyrics for amazarashi's song "冬が来る前に" ("Before Winter Comes") paint a picture of someone looking for meaning and purpose in their life before the impending arrival of winter. The song's lyrics are a call to action, urging the listener to make the most of their time before it's too late. The first verse suggests escaping to a coast at midnight to share a beer and look at the stars with someone special, acknowledging that the ocean and one's own breath are two things that have a lot in common. The second verse proposes finding joy in the simple things, like sliding down a grassy hill in a park, and facing one's failures head-on. The third verse expresses frustration with an unpleasant city environment, specifically referencing a busy intersection in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The final verse speaks to the desire to hold onto something that will never come again, a yearning that is so strong it can make you freeze up in anticipation.
Overall, the song is a reflection on the passage of time and the importance of making the most of the present. It's a call to live fully and authentically, to not let the world and all its cruelty crush your spirit, and to embrace the beauty and fragility of life. It is a powerful reminder to the listener that while winter may be coming, there is still time to make meaningful memories and connect with others, to find joy in the small things, and perhaps even find a new purpose in life.
