Blue Velvet
Bobby Vinton Lyrics

(Blue velvet)

She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars

She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet were her eyes
Warmer than May her tender sighs
Love was ours

Ours a love I held tightly
Feeling the rapture grow
Like a flame burning brightly
But when she left, gone was the glow of

Blue velvet
But in my heart there'll always be
Precious and warm, a memory
Through the years
And I still can see blue velvet
Through my tears

She wore blue velvet
But in my heart there'll always be
Precious and warm, a memory
Through the years
And I still can see blue velvet
Through my tears (Blue velvet)

Letra & Lyrics

VELUDO AZUL
Ela vestia veludo azul

Ela vestia veludo azul

Ela vestia veludo azul

I danced to this song with my first love in 1965. Took me 48 years to track her down and found her thru Facebook in Maine. We've met, hugged, held hands, talked about the "old" days, friends we had, friends we lost and are about to celebrate our birthdays together. Perfect timing, she unfortunately is going thru medical issues and we plan to dance to this song one more time when she's healthy. THANK YOU FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE! Where has the time gone? Thrilled to have her back in my life again.

I wasn't even born when this song was a hit, but it's one of my favorite songs. So beautiful, so poetic, so nostalgic. Simply wonderful, I love it!

That's ok it's hard to get born right when a song is a hit 🙂

Greg Florko

This song was the number one hit the day I was born, 9/24/63.
