The song "Jiban Gaan Gaahi Ki Je" by Asha Bhosle is a beautiful composition that talks about the essence of life, music, and love. The song starts with the question "Who sings the song of life when the tune is not understood?" It means that even when we’re living our lives, it’s important to have music in it, as it's like the song of our lives. The second line, "All ragas are like Bauls" implies how every type of music holds the capacity to evoke emotions within ourselves. When we are not able to understand the lyrics of a song or the tune of the melody, the music still finds its way to our hearts.
The next verse talks about Krishna, the Hindu God, as a metaphor for love. It says how we want to forget everything and just follow the sound of his call. The lines "sukh-dukh michhe, shokoloi a maya, michhe mori je laaje" mean that pleasures and sorrows all become a part of life, and everyone eventually leaves with the same fate. At the end of the day, what remains with us is the song of our lives.
Overall, the song beautifully embodies the timeless essence of music and how it’s intertwined in our life's journey.
