Filo
Attaque 77 Lyrics

quiero ver su cara
pude ver por la ventana
eras vos o era yo?
Vos corres por tu miedo
se te escapa la vida
poder ver por la ventana
eras vos o era yo?
Attaque 77's song Filo is a powerful reflection on fear, violence, and the thin line that separates victim and perpetrator. The lyrics describe a scene in which someone is running outside and the singer is unsure whether it is themselves or someone else. The repetition of "eras vos o era yo?" ("was it you or was it me?") highlights the fact that fear and violence can easily blur the lines between oppressor and oppressed, especially in situations where power dynamics are at play.
The use of the words "filo" (blade) and "navaja" (knife) in the chorus adds to the sense of danger and urgency in the song. These words are associated with physical violence, but they also represent the sharpness of fear and the way it can cut through our perceptions of reality. The final line, "miedo...frío" ("fear...cold"), drives home the emotional impact of the song, as fear can make us feel isolated and vulnerable, even in the midst of a crowded, chaotic world.
Overall, Filo is a poignant and thought-provoking song that encourages listeners to reflect on the ways fear and violence shape our lives on both an individual and societal level.
