Eeeeeeeyyyy

Stop pa vin owa an nou

Stop, pa vin owa an nou

Ou two janti
Nou ja ni twop zanmi
Annui an "Boisneuf society"
C'est tout ma vie!
Si mwen ja di'w stop
Sé kè nou ja tout a tout
Evè vou nou di'w

Stop, pa vin owa an nou

Pa vin owa an nou
Pa vin owa an nou

Mé nou vé pa ranpan
Nou vé pa malfèzan
Pon ti misié boufon
Ki ka kwè'y entérésan
Ou sé an gro malad
Si èvè mwen ou konprann ou ké maché
An té tan twa mouvman
Lontan bra aw ja pété
One time
Just one time

Stop, pa vin owa an nou

Overall Meaning

The song "Stop" by Jean-Michel Rotin is a call to someone to stop interfering in his life. The lyrics are in Creole and there are various references to living life on one's own terms and not allowing others to dictate how someone should live. The song opens with "Stop pa vin owa an nou, lésé nou viv, vé pa zanmi, nou pa famniy non pli, mwen di'w," meaning "Stop coming over here to us, let us live our lives, don't pretend to be friends, we aren't family either."

In the next verse, he speaks about someone who cried and called him brother but is now not being truthful. He asks this person to raise their voice so that they can both see things clearly but also acknowledges that the situation is complicated with the line "sa ka santi" (this is what I feel). The following verse stresses the idea of living life on one's own terms and not allowing others to dictate how one should live. There is also a reference to the "Boisneuf society," which could be a reference to a place or group of people, but the exact meaning is unclear.

The chorus repeats the earlier statement asking the person to stop coming over and interfering. The song again emphasizes the desire to not cause trouble and to live life on one's terms. There is also a reference to someone being a "boufon" (clown), who thinks they are interesting and the idea that if someone walks with Rotin, they must understand that he is a man of action.
