Twarze skute granitem
Ręce jak automaty
Myśli gniewne i skryte
Dni mijają okrutne
A nadzieja umiera
Nikt nie patrzy już w przeszłość
Jutra także nikt nie ma
Martwy rok
Kolejny martwy rok
I znowu martwy rok
I znowu ma ah
Ma ah
Martwy rok
Kolejny martwy rok
I znowu martwy rok
I znowu ma ah
Ma ah
Nikt nie patrzy już w oczy
Przypadkowym przechodniom
Egzystencja z rozpędu
Milczą choć mówić wolno
Słońce świeci jak zawsze
Mówią te same słowa
Coś w nas wczoraj umarło
Nie chce ożyć od nowa
Martwy rok
Kolejny martwy rok
I znowu martwy rok
I znowu ma ah
Ma ah
Martwy rok
Kolejny martwy rok
I znowu martwy rok
I znowu ma ah
Ma ah
Nikt nie patrzy już w oczy
Przypadkowym przechodniom
Egzystencja z rozpędu
Milczą choć mówić wolno
Słońce świeci jak zawsze
Mówią te same słowa
Coś w nas wczoraj umarło
Nie chce ożyć od nowa
Martwy rok
Kolejny martwy rok
I znowu martwy rok
I znowu ma ah

The lyrics to KSU's song "Martwy Rok" seem to express a sense of disillusionment and hopelessness towards the present and future. The people are described as having faces like stone and hands like machines, with hidden and angry thoughts. The passing days are cruel, with dying hope and no one looking towards the past or future. The year is characterized as "dead," with the coming of another "dead year." The existence of people seems to be purely out of habit, with silence and no words spoken even though they could. The sun shines as it always has, but something inside us has died and refuses to revive again.
"Martwy Rok" portrays a sense of despair in modern society, suggesting that people have become numb and apathetic towards their surroundings. The repetition of the phrase "Kolejny martwy rok" ("Another dead year") emphasises the monotony and lack of progress happening in society. The description of people's faces as "granite" and hands as "machines" portray a sense of dehumanisation, hinting at how people have become robotic in their mannerisms, thoughts and actions. The line "Nikt nie patrzy już w przeszłość, jutra także nikt nie ma" ("No one looks towards the past, no one has the future either") suggests that people have become disconnected from their roots and their hopes for the future. As a result, they walk around like "random passers-by", lost in their own thoughts and unable to communicate.
