Melina Aslanidou Lyrics

The lyrics of Melina Aslanidou's song "Itan Pseftika" describe the singer's realization that everything around her was a lie. She has been deceived by sweet promises and manipulative gestures, and she has fallen in love with someone who turned out to be fake. She has been fooled by false shows of affection, and she is ashamed of herself for believing in something that wasn't real. She has been brought down by a toxic environment, represented by the deadly drink that she was offered.
The repetition of the phrase "itan pseftika" (it was fake) emphasizes the singer's disappointment and disillusionment. She trusted someone who wasn't worthy of her trust, and she allowed herself to be influenced by people who didn't care about her. The use of contrast between the sweet words and the bitter truth highlights the deception that the singer experienced.
The song speaks to the universal experience of being deceived, manipulated, and hurt by people who don't have our best interests at heart. It encourages listeners to be wary of promises that sound too good to be true and to value honesty and authenticity. The song's emotional intensity and rawness make it a powerful statement about the importance of recognizing the truth and standing up for oneself.
