Melina Aslanidou Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
These lyrics are from the song "Grapse Mou Dyo Logia" by Melina Aslanidou. In these lyrics, the singer expresses her emotions and desire for communication with someone who seems to be distant or indifferent.
In the first paragraph, the singer says, "I turn a dime, letters come out. But I can't find a letter that will reach your heart." Here, the act of turning a dime can symbolize the singer's attempt to communicate or connect with the person, but the letters that come out represent her futile efforts as the person's heart remains distant and unresponsive.
The second paragraph continues with the plea, "Write me two words, so I can understand what has given you so much forgetfulness." The singer desires to understand why the person has become so distant and forgetful in their relationship. She longs for communication, hoping that through these two words, she can gain insight into their feelings and the reason for their detachment.
In the third paragraph, the singer expresses her inability to be resentful or angry towards the person. She says, "How can I be upset with you? I can't, I can't find the strength to throw so much into the fire." Despite the person's indifference, the singer finds herself unable to harbor any negative emotions towards them. She lacks the strength to let go of the feelings she has invested in their relationship.
Finally, in the last paragraph, the singer pleads again, "Write me two words. Do you still love me, or has forgetfulness wrapped you up now?" Here, the singer questions whether the person still loves her or if they have been consumed by forgetfulness. She seeks clarity and confirmation of the person's emotions, hoping that these two words can bring some understanding and resolution to their relationship.
Overall, these lyrics convey the singer's longing for communication, understanding, and validation in a relationship that has become distant and detached. She hopes for a connection that can bridge the gap between them and overcome the overwhelming sense of forgetfulness.
