She is the current touring guitarist for Alice Cooper and has a successful career as a solo artist. Strauss was the first female signature artist with Ibanez guitars and is regularly featured on the covers of worldwide print magazines including Guitar World and Guitar Player. She was ranked No. 1 on Guitar World's list of "10 Female Guitar Players You Should Know".
Strauss started touring with her own band Lia-Fail as a teenager, leaving high school in her junior year to pursue music full time; the band included future world champion boxer Mikaela Mayer. Although initially known for her work with Iron Maiden all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens, Strauss' career has included performing with several rock ensembles including Consume the Fire, Femme Fatale, and the video-game supergroup Critical Hit.
In 2014, Strauss was the official in-house guitarist for the Los Angeles Kiss (LA KISS), the arena football team owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS. The house band played the national anthem and provided additional music during the games.
In June 2014, Strauss was hired to replace Orianthi as Alice Cooper's touring guitarist for the remaining 2014 tour dates. She has toured with Alice Cooper since that time.
In April 2018, Strauss launched a Kickstarter campaign for her debut solo record 'Controlled Chaos'.
In October 2021 she shared "'Dead Inside", her first new solo music since the release of her debut album.
Nita will release her sophomore solo album, ""'The Call Of The Void", on July 7, 2023.

I think this is one of my favorite tracks off this album. I like Our Most Desperate Hour and Alegria as far as originals go the most, but I really like the atmospheric effect this recording has

One of the nicest, funniest, non sugar coating girls I've ever seen. As well as a daily accomplisher, outstanding guitarist. Player/writer, also designer. Multi-tasker with difficult tasks completed, my cousin being a woman herself mentioned nita is quite the juggler, to complete this level within personal music goals, while still being on time/reliable to her main commitment with the cooper unit. Her videos are really good, make a lot of sense, and are intriguing.

This is arguably the best instrumental version of 1 of Queenâs most beautiful songs ever recorded, and on this one the addition of the cello gives it a lot more emotion while maintaining the Heavy Metal majesty that it requires
This song has extra meaning for Nita because she wanted to record it as a posthumous tribute to a late band mate of her who recently passed away & by doing so she knew that such person in particular, Huntress vocalist Jill Janus, would never be forgotten

hey@Beth Lundquist glad you wrote....I don't want you to think that Jill's passing wasn't OR isn't important ....just we were at Guitar Center and Nita was talking to me and my wife all about the Controlled Chaos album....and that this is the only cover song.....
