The song "Ligne Numéro 13" by Patrick Fiori talks about the daily monotony of life and the struggle of surviving in the metro system, specifically in line 13 in Paris. The first verse talks about how every day is the same, only on Saturday do people try to escape this monotonous routine. The line "C'est aux mines qu'on devine" translates to "It's in the mines where we can tell," implying that the people who take line 13 are like miners working hard and seemingly invisible to the outside world. The next verse describes the physical and emotional difficulties of traveling on this line, where people are always in a rush and can't afford to make mistakes. Finally, the chorus questions if it takes a disaster like a ceiling collapse or a bomb for people to start talking to each other and how people can cope with living in constant mistrust and coldness.

Losers sit on the benches, watching the world go by.

What would we need to dare, what hurricane, what momentum?
Oh, what a metamorphosis would make our worn-out hearts, make us humans instead of mere users.
