Starting in 1939 he appeared in more than 60 films, and since 1943 he recorded about 350 songs. Thanks to his performance in the movie "Tizoc", he was awarded the Silver Bear of the Berlin International Film Festival for Best Actor and the Golden Globe at Hollywood, for the Best Actor in a Leading Role, awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at Hollywood.

In this song, Pedro Infante sings about his travels as an adventurer and his return to Jalisco, his homeland. He explains that he went out to see if the things that he desired were truly beautiful or if they were just beautiful to him. He encountered many women comparable to stars and became involved with men of true bravery. However, upon his return to Jalisco, he confesses that he wouldn't trade it for anything else because it is simply the best. He praises the beauty of Jalisco, including its gorgeous Lake Chapala, its women who are pure love, and its mariachis who play beautiful music like no other. Pedro Infante also notes the satisfaction he felt watching the horses in their lassos responding to their riders and the applause received by mariachis as they sang.
