Nunca voy a perdonar a Raphael que no haya hecho un grandisimo hit de esta canción. Para mí es una de las mejores canciones de la música mundial(sí,ya sé que es una versión de los hermanos Adderley pero esta versión es la mejor de todas)

Raphael triunfó en 1966 un éxito estadounidense con esta versión. El original en inglés hablaba de un grupo de presos que picaban piedra , pero la letra en español lo transformó en una invitación a resignarse y currar con " de y esperanza". La letra, la música del Maestro Manuel Alejandro e interpretación del genial Raphael son fantásticas. Feliz Día del Trabajador para todos , gran respeto desde Bielorrusia.🇧🇾

CIERTO... Este tema no es original de Rafael...
La música fue compuesta por Nat and Cannonball Adderly en los años 60's y se lanzo en un álbum homónimo llamado Work Song, posteriormente y por encargo de estos (1 o 2 años después) Oscar Brown le escribió la letra de acuerdo a la historia que la inspiro contada por los Adderly, efectivamente es la historia de un NIÑO PRESO REALIZANDO TRABAJOS FORZADOS.
La versión de Rafael efectivamente NO ES UNA TRADUCCIÓN, sólo usa la música de los Adderly pero la letra no tiene nada que ver con la escrita por Oscar Brown.
