Ja krzyczę do ciebie z mej mównicy
Dźwięki z mych ust są bez znaczenia
Twoje uszy nie chcą słuchać
Chociaż stoisz tutaj przy mnie
W dłoni ściskasz ostry nóż
Twoje narzędzie zrani moje serce
Na moim miejscu będziesz ty
Ty będziesz mówił błyśnie nóż
Ugotują kaszy upuszczą ci krwi
Na twojej mogile stanie nowy polityk
I wszyscy będą krzyczeć to ten doskonały
On będzie mówił o lepszym jutrze
Lecz jego słowa będą tylko słowami
On też zawiedzie następne pokolenia
I nikt nie będzie słuchał jego słów
Ktoś nagle krzyknie to nie ten doskonały
I tłum zawyje kiedy błyśnie nóż
Na jego mogile stanie nowy polityk
I wszyscy będą krzyczeć to ten doskonały
On będzie mówił o lepszym jutrze
Lecz jego słowa będą tylko słowami
On będzie mówił o lepszym jutrze
Lecz jego słowa będą tylko słowami
On też zawiedzie następne pokolenia
I nikt nie będzie słuchał jego słów
Ktoś nagle krzyknie to nie ten doskonały
I tłum zawyje kiedy błyśnie nóż
I nie zmienią nic rewolucje
I nic nie pomogą zamachy stanu
Zawsze będzie ten sam syf
Ciągle w kółko i wciąż to samo
The lyrics of Zielone Żabki's song "Polityka" (Politics) portray a cynical view of politics and politicians. The singer expresses frustration and disillusionment with the political system, highlighting the lack of genuine communication and the empty promises made by politicians.
The first verse suggests that the listener refuses to make eye contact and is absent in their thoughts. The singer, speaking from a metaphorical podium, shouts at the listener, but their words seem to have no impact. The listener's ears are closed, even though they are physically present. They hold a sharp knife in their hand, with their mouth bleeding, but in a proud manner.
The chorus metaphorically speaks of a new politician who will stand on the listener's grave. Initially, everyone will praise this politician as the "perfect one," believing in their promises of a better future. However, the singer asserts that these words are merely empty rhetoric. The new politician will also disappoint future generations, and eventually, someone will proclaim that they are not the "perfect one." At that moment, the crowd will turn against the politician, symbolized by the knife flashing.
The final verse emphasizes the singer's belief that revolutions and coups will not bring about true change. The political system will remain stagnant, and the same problems will persist. The repetition of "ciągle w kółko i wciąż to samo" (always in a circle, always the same) suggests a sense of hopelessness, indicating that nothing will truly change despite the efforts made.
Overall, "Polityka" reflects a sense of disillusionment and skepticism towards politics, highlighting the cycle of empty promises and disappointment that seems to be inherent in the political system.
