Nie ma celu skończył się
Nie ma czasu skończył się
Nie ma sensu skończył się
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
Ostatnia audycja
Ostatniego radia
Zakończona hymnem
Umarłego państwa
Teraz kiedy zostaliśmy sami
Teraz możemy to robić
Na gazetach, sztandarach
Sztandarach, gazetach
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
Teraz chcę być twoim psem
No chodź
The lyrics of Świetliki's song "Pies" convey a sense of hopelessness and despair, reflecting the end of the world, loss of purpose, time slipping away, and a lack of meaning. This can be interpreted as a reflection on the state of society or personal struggles.
In the first stanza, the repetition of "Nie ma" (there is no) emphasizes the absence of different elements. The world has come to an end, there is no longer a clear goal or purpose to strive for, time has run out, and life seems devoid of meaning.
The chorus, "Teraz chcę być twoim psem" (Now I want to be your dog), signifies a yearning for submission or loyalty. This line can be seen as a metaphorical desire for a sense of purpose or direction, even if it means surrendering personal agency or individuality. The repetition highlights the intensity of this longing.
The second stanza introduces the idea of the last broadcast, symbolizing the end of communication or the demise of a nation. The hymn of a deceased state further adds to the imagery of decay and finality. This could imply a critique of political or societal systems that have failed or collapsed.
The final lines suggest a freedom or opportunity that arises from being alone. With nobody else around, the ability to take action and shape one's own destiny becomes possible. The mention of newspapers and banners alludes to public discourse or collective messaging, implying that these mediums can be taken control of or used to convey personal desires and beliefs.
Overall, the lyrics of "Pies" depict a sense of desolation and a longing for purpose. They explore themes of societal collapse, personal submission, and the potential for individual agency. The repetition of certain phrases underscores the intensity of these emotions, creating a poignant and thought-provoking song.
