The lyrics of the song Aaja re aaja by Asha Bhosle is about the longing and yearning for the beloved's presence. It starts with the words "Aaja re aaja", which mean "come, oh come", and the following lines talk about how the eyes are pining for a glimpse of the loved one. The singer of the song is deeply in love and cannot bear to live without seeing the beloved.
In the next stanza, the lyrics evoke the image of a young child who is crying and reaching out to be taken in the beloved's arms. The lyrics suggest that the singer feels vulnerable and helpless without the loved one's presence. The use of the phrase "rom-rom mera tujhko pukare" expresses how the singer's entire being calls out for the loved one.
The final stanza of the song speaks about how the burden of loneliness and separation has been lifted and how it is now time for the beloved to come and be with the singer. The phrase "ab to nath khabar lo hamari ab hai apni bari" means "now it's your turn to come, my lord, it's time for you to be with me". The song ends with a repetition of the first stanza, emphasizing the importance of the loved one's presence in the singer's life.
Overall, the song Aaja re aaja is a beautiful expression of intense love and longing. The lyrics are simple yet powerful, and the melody is melodious and evocative.
