The lyrics of Asha Bhosle's song "Zamane Bhar Mein Jo" depict a person who has gained a notorious reputation throughout the years. Despite being constantly talked about and criticized by others, this person remains a divine figure in the eyes of the singer.
The first verse describes how this individual has become infamous and unfaithful in the eyes of society, yet the singer sees them as a divine being. Despite their bad reputation, the singer still holds them in high regard and believes that there is greatness in them.
In the second verse, it is mentioned that this person often talks about meeting and getting close to the singer. They create new excuses and reasons to spend time together, yet their intentions are always to maintain a distance from the singer. This person remains elusive, but the singer still sees them as a divine figure even though they continue to play games and hide their true intentions.
The third verse suggests that the singer does not even know the true nature of their love. They wonder what the destination of their love journey is, as their object of affection is always searching for someone else while the singer is desperately searching for them. Despite this, the singer still believes that this person is deserving of their love and continues to see them as a divine figure.
The final verse suggests that this person carries within them countless wounds and scars hidden beneath their confident exterior. Despite their personal pain, they continue to bring happiness to others and spread joy in the world. The singer recognizes their resilience and still sees them as a divine figure, despite their bad reputation.
Overall, these lyrics depict a protagonist who sees beyond the negative reputation of someone and holds them in high esteem, considering them as a divine being despite the judgment and criticism they receive from society.
