He was one of the most important figures in music at the turn of the 20th century; his music represents the transition from late-romantic to 20th century classical.
Debussy's most dramatic contribution to music history was his disregard for traditional chord structures and tonality. He is one of the most important exponents of the whole tone scale in classical music history. His compositions flowed without a strict sense of metre or rhythm, and are considered the pioneering works of the Impressionist genre of classical music, named in comparison with the visual arts movement.
Debussy's impact was far reaching. His free use of harmony, which often altogether disregarded the concepts of tertian harmony, has been cited as an influence on the rise of Jazz music later in the 20th century.

After listening to his breathtaking performance ,
I might have a dream of Debussy .
I could be wrong,
but didn't Debussy himself have the characteristic back view that I saw in the crowds of Paris ?
After listening to his breathtaking performance ,
I might have a dream
It's a dream of joy and sorrow of falling in love with someone
From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵

How is your conditions ?
The season of the blooming cherry blossoms has come again in Japan
However
just like last year , for the second year in a row ,
we felt lonely to prevent Covid - 19
, the banquets in famous public parks of Tokyo under the cherry blossoms in full bloom have been perfectly banned due to Covid - 19
We are very lonely and unfortunate
Be on the alert for Covid - 19
In Japan
many young people are suffering from post - recovery sequelae
Good luck !

Every single note in these chords is magic. Is like a paint where every little drop of ink is necessary to complete the beauty of the frame.

I like the dreaminess of Debussy. When I look out the window and I hear this song, I see everything in an impressionist style!

becomes even better when you start playing pieces. Debussy will always stay my favorite composer

As a half-Classical pianist, when i played my first Debussy piece my fingers were so startled by the chordal and melodic movement that they didn't know what to do. I was just fumbling. It was like playing piano for the first time. And it took me so long to memorize the piece. Debussy started a different KIND of emotion.

Same!!!

I totally get you! Such an irony that Debussy himself loathed to be called an 'impressionist'. His music IS dreamy and unwordly.
