The song "Behet Goftam" by Ebi is a touching piece about a relationship that has come to an end, with one partner hoping the other will stay and the other convinced that leaving is the right thing to do. The song's protagonist pleads with their partner not to go, believing that there must be a reason behind their departure, but the partner is insistent that they need an excuse to stay. The couple's love has led them down a path that has ultimately resulted in a fork in the road, and it is unclear which path they should take. The singer is left confused and uncertain about what their heart wants, and laments the fact that they cannot imagine living without their partner.
Throughout the song, Ebi captures the heartbreak and confusion that can come with a relationship's end. The lyrics paint a picture of a couple grappling with the competing desires of love and independence, unsure of how to reconcile the two. The singer's voice is heartfelt and raw, perfectly conveying the emotions that are present in the lyrics.
