A jazz guitarist born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Died of cancer on July 12, 2007.
Eddie Fisher spent the first 17 years of his life in Little Rock, Arkansas. From the age of 10, he developed a love for music; influenced and supported by his father. After graduating from high school, Fisher left home and headed for Memphis, Tennessee, where he continued to improve his guitar technique and musical skills. He spent the next several years touring with such famous musicians as Salomon Burke and Albert King. Fisher then became a founding member of the Leo's Five Band and decided to settle down in St. Louis, Missouri.
Eddie Fisher worked as Albert King's bandleader before embarking on a solo career. He released two classic albums, "The Third Cup" and "The Next One Hundred Years", blending soul, funk, jazz and touches of psychedelia, in the late 1960's.
Eddie Fisher's third album "Hot Lunch" was released on the All Platinum label, and after that he launched his own indie operation Nentu. In 2004, he was voted into the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame.

All About Love
Eddie Fisher Lyrics

and all at once you love her
You've scarcely talked, you've scarcely met
But all at once you love her
You like her eyes, you tell her so
She thinks you're wise and clever
You kiss goodnight and then you know
You'll kiss goodnight forever
Then all at once you know
In the first stanza, the lyrics describe a moment where the singer is engaged in a simple act of lighting a cigarette for the person they have feelings for. This simple gesture is portrayed as a catalyst for love, as the singer suddenly realizes that they have fallen in love with this person. It is important to note the emphasis on the suddenness of this realization, highlighting the unpredictable and often uncontrollable nature of love.
The second stanza elaborates on the limited interaction between the singer and their love interest. Despite having only spoken briefly and barely knowing each other, the singer finds themselves experiencing a strong sense of love for this person. This highlights the idea that love can often transcend rationality and conventional norms of getting to know someone deeply before developing strong feelings.
The third stanza introduces the dynamics between the two individuals. The singer expresses admiration for the person's eyes and openly compliments them, making the person feel appreciated and valued. This exchange of compliments creates a perception of mutual understanding and connection, as the person considers the singer to be wise and clever. The lyrics suggest that this affirmation further strengthens the love between them.
The final stanza encapsulates the conclusion of the evening or their time together with a goodnight kiss. In this moment, the singer realizes the depth and permanence of their love for this person. The words "kiss goodnight forever" imply that the singer believes this love is eternal and profound. The stanza also hints at a sense of uncertainty, as the singer wonders where their heart can go from here. This suggests that they are overwhelmed by the intensity of their emotions, and the future of this love affair remains uncertain.

as many times as I've seen this film, this year (2016) while watching it again on TCM, I finally noticed that fantastic jump onto the ping-pong table! I was dumb-founded. How the heck did he do that ??? Love this song.

I watch this movie over and over again. I wonder if that jump contributed to his arthritis that put him in a wheelchair. Bless his heart.

The musical should be more well remembered. The numbers are all first rate.

@Andrew Naftel Agreed. David Niven is miles better than Eddie Fisher and Ginger is Ginger. She's one of a kind. I just like the music, which makes the rough patches acceptable.

@Winston Bribach Bachelor mom was better.
