In February 1991 Goethes Erben is formed as a group again. Mindy Kumbalek (keyboards, drums and saxophone) and Conny R. (guitars) make the trio perfect.
In this stocking they record their debut-album "Das Sterben ist ästhetisch bunt" ('Dying is aesthetically colorful') which makes the start of a triology and is published in February 1992 on the Hamburger Label DARK STAR. On this label the following albums are also published.
Short time before the release of the second album "Der Traum an die Erinnerung" ('The dream of the rememberance'), Conny R. leaves the band of her free will. Their Germany-tour in August 1992 makes the group popular in the country. Mindy Kumbalek and Oswald Henke are supported through Peter Seipt as a part-time-musician.
Until now their musical ways have changed a lot, their popularity increased, as well. They gave several concerts and tours, have had nearly 20 albums and 3 DVDs produced (not every single one was published).
Their musical genre is not easy to describe. However, they are officially classified in the "Neue Deutsche Todeskunst" ('New german art of death') genre.
Ganz still
Goethes Erben Lyrics

So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
Allein vom leeren Blick fixiert
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
Kein Mondlicht weist ein Ziel im Nichts
Der Raum begrenzt den Blick
Die Freiheit ist so nah wie fern
Der Schlaf ließ ihn allein zurück
Allein - nicht frei - allein
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
Ein tiefer Blick gefriert das Glas
Sein Bruderbild gleicht ihm aufs Haar
Kein Augenblick bleibt regungslos
Befreit die Wahrheit vor der Tür
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still
...und einen Mund der seinen Hunger stillt
The lyrics to Goethes Erben's song "Ganz still" describe a feeling of emptiness and stillness. The singer is fixated on an empty space, waiting for a star that may never come. The darkness of the room is reflected in the mürber Strauß (wilted bouquet) of roses that no longer have a scent. The night swallows the truth that once existed in the room. Two people once loved and touched each other before resting, but now the space is empty and still. The darkness seems to be suffocating the singer, offering no guidance or relief from their current state of loneliness. The singer is not free despite being alone, and they seem to be frozen in time, unable to move forward.
The song seems to be about the end of a relationship or a loss of some kind. The emptiness and stillness represent the lack of emotion or passion that once existed between two people. The repeated lines of "So schwarz - So leer - Ganz still" emphasize the depth of the void that the singer is feeling. The wilted bouquet also represents the fading of love and the inevitability of death. The theme of darkness and emptiness is consistent throughout the lyrics, highlighting the feelings of despair and hopelessness. The line "und einen Mund der seinen Hunger stillt" (and a mouth that satisfies his hunger) at the end might suggest that the singer is trying to fill a void in their life, but is unable to find what they are looking for.
