This is a moment of great lyricism, from which the composer eliminates any trace of doubt and conflict. The first theme can be considered a coral on a melodic construction, rendered by the chord instruments, and then followed by a secondary theme with a different structure (in ternary meter). It has a dancing disposition resulted from the removal of certain motifs, giving the impression of an " infinite, elliptical melody

In my humble opinion, this exquisite work is perhaps second only to the Moonlight Sonata in terms of it's haunting beauty.

Have you ever heard the "Allegretto" from the Seventh Symphony?
@713davidh42
Another Beethoven work I think worth considering in this regard is the 3rd movement from the String Quartet No. 15, Opus 132 (Heiliger Dankgesang).
@federicozimerman8167
the opening is eerily similar to the pathetique’s second movement.
@giomusic71

The third movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony usually gets overlooked because of what follows. This video points out that it can stand alone as a testament to Beethoven's musical genius.

WHAT CAN ONE SAY? this IS MUSIC FROM heaven! my father PASSED RECENTLY AND HE IS LISTENING! thank YOU MIEN FRIEND Ludwig!!!
@agseu3668

This will be played at my departure from this world! It is the best that this world had to offer and I shall take it with me!
