In my humble opinion, this exquisite work is perhaps second only to the Moonlight Sonata in terms of it's haunting beauty.

Have you ever heard the "Allegretto" from the Seventh Symphony?

@713davidh42

Another Beethoven work I think worth considering in this regard is the 3rd movement from the String Quartet No. 15, Opus 132 (Heiliger Dankgesang).

@federicozimerman8167

the opening is eerily similar to the pathetique’s second movement.

@giomusic71

@713davidh42

The third movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony usually gets overlooked because of what follows. This video points out that it can stand alone as a testament to Beethoven's musical genius.

WHAT CAN ONE SAY? this IS MUSIC FROM heaven! my father PASSED RECENTLY AND HE IS LISTENING! thank YOU MIEN FRIEND Ludwig!!!

@agseu3668

This will be played at my departure from this world! It is the best that this world had to offer and I shall take it with me!
