So sad even today to watch this knowing he wouldn't see 1977 through, he died in September just before his 30th birthday. Such a sad loss for his family & fans, his music lives on in all who grew up in the 70s.

Should have been a smash hit but typically Radio 1 refused to play this as Bolan was in decline at the time, great cover version. Such a shame that so many of Marc's songs towards the end were overlooked as there are some gems amongst them that if released in 71-72 would have been top 5 hits RIP Mr. Bolan

The mini had just had an mot done and there wasn't enough air pressure in one of the tyres.both Marc and Gloria had been dining and probably tipsy too,plus not wearing seat belts.the hump back bridge is on a bend and the car swerved and hit a reinforced steel fence post.the eye bolt in that causrd Marc's fatal head wound.glorias brother and a friend were following behind and Victoria said mark was already dead.gloria was semi conscious and groaning.it was a passing fire crew whobcalled emergency services and the tree probably saved the car from rolling down the bank and causing further chaos.

It's terrible some of the awful things people here are saying about Gloria Jones. Marc Bolan's death was an accident and not something she did intentionally. The worst charges she could've faced in the U.S. would've likely been something like unintentional vehicular manslaughter, if that. The hate people are aiming at her is completely unfair, as if she were a coldblooded first-degree murderer rather than someone involved in a tragic accident. And, face facts, the reason she was driving was probably because Bolan was in no condition to drive himself.

..lost impetus and from 1975, he became a parody of himself, churning out mediocrity.
